I am working on a Christmas Yo-Yo Table Runner. It is not quite finished, but as you can see it is coming along. The Yo-Yo Table Runner is 5 yo-yo's wide and will be about 18-20 rows long. I'll have it finished for the MMP Christmas In July Shop Hop so stay tuned.

Show and Tell Monday

I'm a little early -- this being Sunday -- but I did want to post this embroidered pillowcase I just finished. Of course I have to do "Hers" now. When that one is finished I add it to my website. These His and Hers pillowcases are all hand embroidered by me and have several different stitches.

Grandma's Birthday

As many of you know I live with my grandmother and am her primary care-giver. She will turn 94 on the 15th of July. There are been days we didn't think she would get there, but right now she seems to be holding her own. Here is what she look like when she was a young women with my grandfather.

Wednesday's Child is Full of Grace

More Yo-Yo's for Baby Quilt

I have purchased some more of the darker pink and will use some white yo-yo's to finish the quilt. I sure takes a bunch of those little yo-yo's to make a baby quilt.

So get in line yo-yo's, it's time to make a quilt!

How to make a yo-yo

I use a cd - like a music cd to draw circles on fabric

Cut out the circles

Thread your needle with matching thread

Turn about 1/4 inch under to wrong side and stitch all around the circle

Pull the thread to gather

Tie off the thread

And Wala you have a yo-yo
