Show and Tell Monday

I worked my fingers off trying to finish these this week. I am so happy with them too. Aren't they sweet. They are already on my website at
Here at my grandmother's house we also broke up 5 bushels of green beans -- some went to the freezer and several bags to friends and family and of course we have already ate 2 pressure cookers full. It was a lot of hard work but fresh green beans are so worth it. I should have taken a picture but we have to do it all again on Wednesday so I'll take one then.

Beach Cottage Tote Bag

As many of you know Make Mine Pink (http://makeminepink.com/) has themed shopping on Fridays. This Friday we are celebrating The Beach Cottage. I have made a one-of-a-kind tote bag. I started with a ready made over sized tote bag, then added a beautiful oriental print lining, added some embellishment on the front and wala! A Beach Cottage Tote

My granddaughter will be home soon

As many of you know my granddaughter has been serving in the Army in Iraq. Well she is counting down the days. I hope you all will pray for a safe return for all of them.

Pink Friday -- Beach Cottage

I feel the need for a beach bag to go with my beach cottage. Hmmmmm -- let's see Amanda is not here so I guess I will have design this one my self. Let me think maybe some pink, embroidery, of course a linning and some kind of fringe for sure.

Stay turned for pictures on the progress

Show and Tell Monday at Make Mine Pink

A few weeks ago I showed off two yo-yo's I made -- I now have over 300 and am ready to turn all these little yo-yo's into a yo-yo quilt. It will be a small quilt because 300 sounds like a lot but it really does take a lot of yo-yo to make one.

My Get Away

As many of you know, I am the primary care giver for my grandmother. I live with her and do my best to make her comfortable as I can. I have lots of aunts that come in and help and my uncle cooks every day, thankfully I don't do this alone. She has a visiting nurse practitioner that comes out each week to check her blood work and all the other, so I really do get too burned out. But some times I do need to get away and this week, I went to my daughters for 3 days. It was a nice visit with her and two of my grandchildren. Of course I bought a vintage handkerchief that I will put on my site later.

Next week I hope to get away again for an overnight stay some where too. Maybe I'll go to Bardstown. I really had a nice time there.

Anyway, I have put some of my things on sale on my website. Check out the sale page for some discounts. Also the quilt kits have reduced prices as well.

Good Morning

It is a beautiful day here in Krypton Kentucky. It is finally raining! We have had record heat every day for over a week. We just got the peas up in time, but many other crops were about to fail. Gladly we need this rain. Rain like today where it is just a nice shower all day really makes everything look green and clean.

Have you checked out what I am offering for the Pink Fridays at Make Mine Pink? This week I am offering a hand embroidered 60 inch round table cloth. New never been used. I embroidered it 3 years ago and put it away and now resides on my web-site.

Here is a picture of my grandmother. She is not doing well these days. She will be 94 July 15. She fell and broke 3 ribs about a month ago and she really is having a hard time recouping from it.

Show and Tell Monday at MMP

Here are two items I have worked on this week. On the little purse, I need to add a button and snap. As you can see these two yo-yo's are different shapes. The round ones will be the quilt lined with the darker pink flower yo-yo's. Aren't they just the cutest?
