Robert Redford Cake

When I moved back to Krypton I was able to connect with some of my childhood friends. Once of them is Cassie. Cassie is a disabled widow but she can sure bake a cake. She heats her whole house with a coal stove and since it is hard to get large block coal for home use it is a little expensive. There is a program here for people on fixed income that will help them either buy coal or kerosene for a heater. She was able to get 2 tons (which is very little coal) of coal but they made her pay a co-payment for it. Well I paid the co-payment and she baked me a cake. She named some that she makes and the Robert Redford Cake was the one I chose. She didn't have one named Terry Bradshaw or I surely would have chose that.

Anyway Cassie makes her cakes from scratch. She made a chocolate sheet cake from scratch, while the cake was warm she poke holes in it and poured 1 can of sweetened condensed milk, and 1 container of carmel topping and put it in the fridge to cool. Once cool she put a whole tub of cool whip on the top and broke up Butter Finger candy bars on top of that. It is to die for. I have no idea why they call it a Robert Redford Cake.

My arm

Well, I had my first doctor's appointment yesterday and they said my arm is healing ok, but I have to leave the sling on for 3 more weeks. So I'm still typing with my left hand and can't do any machine sewing till then either. I do have products on my web site that don't require me to do any thing, so I am still very much in business.

This also gives me a chance to get my radio showRadio up and running well. I hope you will join me every Wednesday at noon for The Lunch Bunch on blogtalkradio.com

Ouchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

i fell on december 20 and broke my right humerus just below the shoulder, splintered a small place on the bone and have two fractures on the bones that hold the rotator cuff. so i am in major pain. i'm in a splint so i dont move the arm but did i mention i'm right handed. i can't do anything that takes two hands and just leaning forward causes more major pain.

i have a lot of new things happening for my customers for 2008 and a broken arm may slow me down but will not take me out

Heart Stopping Good Christmas Cookie Recipe

Here it is -- my recipe for "Heart Stopping Good Christmas Cookies"

Please read the whole recipe before starting

1. Start with a basic Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
2. Substitute oil with Butter Flavored Crisco that comes in a stick
3. Add double the nuts
4. Add double the chocolate chips
5. Stir together with your hands -- there should be very little dough -- just enough to stick the chocolate chips and nuts together.
6. Spoon out onto a cookie sheet and bake until done by the regular recipe temp and time. You do not want to over cook the cookies -- since there is so little dough, they don't take very long to bake.

I don't recommend that you eat these cookies more than once a year, that is why I call them Christmas Cookies. The Crisco that makes them so good is soooooooo bad for you Hence "Heart Stopping -- eat in moderation.
